A 19-year-old woman from Cherokee, North Carolina, was arrested in connection with a two-vehicle, head-on crash that killed a man in near Christiansburg on Sunday morning.
Tehya Littlejohn is charged with involuntary manslaughter by driving under the influence, .
At about 7:25 a.m. Sunday, , county sheriff’s deputies and Christiansburg fire and rescue personnel responded to the crash in the 2400 block of Riner Road, or Virginia 8, near its intersection with Smith Creek Road.
Investigators found that an Acura, operated by Littlejohn, was traveling north toward Christiansburg when the vehicle crossed the center line, striking a Ford Probe, .

The driver of the Ford, 60-year-old Jeffrey Trimble, of Blacksburg, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, according to the release. A passenger in Littlejohn’s vehicle was transported to a hospital and treated for her injuries.
Littlejohn was being held in the county jail without bond Monday, according to the sheriff’s office. The incident remains under the investigation of the New River Regional Crash Investigation Team.
