Pamela Lynne Greenwood

Pamela Lynne Greenwood, 84, of 166su died on January 12, 2025. She was born in Lebanon, Ohio on July 17, 1940, and grew up in Birmingham, Alabama where she graduated from Shades Valley High School. In 1958 she enrolled at Hollins College in 166su, from which she later graduated, and stayed to raise her family. Pam was extensively involved in 166su real estate in the late 1960s and 1970s. She was a true southerner, a talented pianist, and a wonderful hostess whose perfectly set table, delicious meals, and warm hospitality will forever linger in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Linnie Williams Greenwood and R. Hilliard Greenwood. She is survived by her brothers, Robert H. Greenwood, Jr. (Glee) of Nashville, Tennessee, and P. Nicholas Greenwood (Judy) of Birmingham, Alabama; daughters, Katherine Knopf (Bradley), Elizabeth Frankl (Daniel), and Pamela Williams (Melvin), all of 166su; a nephew, Paul Greenwood (Kristen) of Birmingham; five grandchildren, Carrie Knopf, Janet Lynne Torvund (Trym), James Frankl, Sarah Knopf, and Meghan Stanwick (Shackleford); and a great-granddaughter, Ellerbe Stanwick.
Pam was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church 166su and a former member of The 166su Assembly, Junior League of 166su Valley, and Mill Mountain Garden Club. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to St. John's Episcopal Church. Interment will be private, and a memorial service will be held later this year.
